Weighed Privacy Policy

This policy applies to all information collected or submitted on Weighed’s website and apps for iPhone and any other devices and platforms. Weighed and its developer take privacy very seriously.

Personal Information

Your use of Weighed may cause certain information, including information you ay consider personal such as as your date of birth & gender (“Personal Information”), to be stored locally on your iPhone, iPad and/or iPod Touch (“Device” or “Devices”). This data includes your weight and body fat percentage history and goal weight (“Health Data”).

Health Data is stored locally on your Device by default, and you may also choose to store Health Data with Apple Health (see below).

We will treat your Personal Information and Health Data as confidential (see relevant sections below). We will not share your Personal Information or Health Data with third parties, such as third party service providers and/or advertisers, without your permission.

We use the information we collect to operate, and improve our website, apps, and customer support.

We do not share personal information with outside parties except to the extent necessary to accomplish Weighed’s functionality. We may share anonymous, aggregate statistics with outside parties, such as the number of active users.

We may disclose your information in response to legal requests; to exercise our legal rights or defend against legal claims; to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud or abuse, violations of our policies; or to protect our rights and property.

In the future, we may sell to, buy, merge with, or partner with other businesses. In such transactions, user information may be among the transferred assets.

Analytics

Weighed’s app collects aggregate, anonymous statistics, such as the percentage of users who use particular features, to improve the app using the information Apple provides to developers, and Firebase Services (Firebase’s Privacy Policy can be found here, note that Weighed uses only a small subset of Firebase’s services).

Apple Health

If you choose to enable integration between Weighed and Apple Health, Weighed can import your data from Apple Health into the application under certain circumstances, including importing weight entries from created in another application. In addition, Weighed may transfer Health Data recored locally into the application on your Device to Apple Health. Weighed cannot read from or write to Apple Health unless you grant access, access can be revoked by you at any time. Data accessed from Apple Health will never be shared with third parties without your permission.

Weighed is in no way responsible for the protection of the Health Data and/or other information stored with Apple Health. You and Apple are solely responsible for the protection of such information in Apple Health. Please review Apple’s applicable policies for further information.

iCloud

Weighed may store some of your data such as Personal Data, or Health Data in Apple’s iCloud service, to enable some sync features between all devices signed into your Apple ID.

Security

We take reasonable steps to protect information about you that is in our possession and control, such as your Personal Information and Health Data, from loss, misuse, and unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.

You are solely responsible for the protection of your Device, including any use of Weighed or any storage of Personal Information or Health Data incident to the use of Weighed on your Device. Please consult your Device’s documentation on how to manage local storage and how to apply appropriate security controls to the Device for the protection of information such as passwords. You are entirely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your Device password.

Personal Information or Health Data that is stored on your Device is your responsibility. In the event that your Device becomes lost or inoperable, your Health Data may not be recoverable.

International Transfers of Information

Information may be processed, stored, and used outside of the country in which you are located. Data privacy laws vary across jurisdictions, and different laws may be applicable to your data depending on where it is processed, stored, or used.

Use of Application by Minors

Weighed is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 18.
